The University of Lodz

The University of Lodz (ULO), established in 1945, is one of the leading public higher education institutions in Poland. The University has a long experience in the implementation of international research and educational projects which enabled the improvement of ULO’s teaching quality and enhancement of educational offer through international cooperation and implementation of joint study programs, innovative didactic materials, and teaching methodologies.

Faculty of Management at the University of Lodz is one of the largest business schools in Central Europe offering a wide range of courses on bachelor’s, master and doctoral levels as well as MBA studies. The potential of the Management Faculty includes 150 staff members. Błażej Socha, Ph.D. in management, Assistant Professor at the Department of Corporate Finance Management at the University of Lodz, Poland. His scientific areas of interest are financial management, family firms, and corporate social responsibility. Trainer in numerous training programs on value-based management and financial management. Team member of national and international projects related to sustainable development and social economy. Certified project manager.

Agata Rudnicka, Ph.D. in management, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Management, University of Lodz. Her main fields of interest are CSR, sustainable development, business ethics, environmental management, and social and environmental aspects of supply chain management. Certified business trainer, project manager, tutor, mediator. She was engaged as an expert in different international, education and research projects related to social responsibility and sustainable development. Author and co-author of more than 50 academic papers, books, and other materials. One of the 50 women of Polish CSR on the FOB list in 2013. One of the 25 Leaders of Sustainability in Poland (Women Forbes List 2021).

Marta Baraniak, Ph.D., Since 2016, she has been working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Corporate Finance Management of the Faculty of Management (University of Lodz). She has gained teaching skills, among others, at Ghent University as part of the Masters of Didactics project. Currently, she is improving her competencies in the Advanced Qualifications in Teaching course with trainers from the University of Groningen. During classes with students, she uses modern teaching tools and methods, including gamification. Marta Baraniak’s scientific interests focus on the efficiency of organic farms and the conversion of conventional agricultural activities into ecological ones.
